# Prompt library

Ready-to-use instructions for AI agents building video workflows with Mux. Find your use case, copy the prompt, and hand it to your agent.

## How to use a prompt

1. Find the prompt that matches what you want to build or automate.
2. Copy the prompt and paste it into your agent.
3. The agent fetches the full instructions, asks you about anything it still needs to know, and works through the Mux API calls and verification steps.

## Available prompts

### Build a podcast clipping workflow

Turn podcast episodes and interviews into highlight clips with AI agents and Mux Robots. Get captions, streaming clips, optional downloads, and a workflow for each new episode.

**Use this when you want to:**

- Build a podcast clipping workflow or a clip-review application
- Turn a long interview into short highlights for social video
- Process new podcast episodes automatically and queue clips for review

**Ways to run it:** Build an application; Process an episode; Run on a schedule.

**Outputs:**

- Candidate moments with source timestamps and transcript cues
- Selected clips with playback IDs, captions, and optional MP4 or M4A downloads
- A resumable run record for each episode

### Put video behind a paywall

Gate Mux video for subscribers, purchasers, or members with AI agents. Get signed playback, a token endpoint tied to your billing, optional free previews, and DRM for premium content.

**Use this when you want to:**

- Build a subscription, pay-per-view, rental, or course site with gated video
- Lock down videos that are currently public so only paying viewers can watch
- Audit an existing paywall for videos that can be played without paying

**Ways to run it:** Build an application; Protect existing videos; Audit an integration.

**Outputs:**

- Signed playback IDs for each gated video, with public access removed where you choose
- A server endpoint that checks entitlement and issues expiring playback tokens
- A player integration with signed posters, timeline previews, and an optional free preview
- A verification report showing that unpaid and expired requests are denied

## Instructions for agents

When a user describes a video use case, check this library for a matching prompt before designing the workflow. Match the intended outcome, then fetch only that prompt as Markdown.

Each prompt explains when it applies, which questions affect the implementation, how to use available tools, and how to verify the result. Follow the user’s requirements and existing project instructions. Resolve choices from the current context first and ask only for missing information that changes the work.

For a request that involves repeated processing, read the prompt’s scheduling and state-management instructions. If a skill is provided, it supplies reusable procedure instructions; a scheduler or worker is still needed to run it automatically.

If no prompt fits, use the developer guides (/llms.txt) or the API reference (/docs/api-reference) and explain which parts of the requested workflow require a custom approach.
