Mux Video now accepts AAC 5.1 (6-channel surround) audio as standard input for VOD ingest. HLS renditions remain stereo AAC, but master downloads will now contain the original 5.1 AAC audio. We're deploying this capability in stages, so some inputs may be treated as non-standard during the rollout. You can learn more about standard inputs in our Minimize processing time guide.
