Introducing Mux Ruby

I first learned Ruby while discovering how to write behavioral tests using Cucumber for the 2012 Olympics. Ruby is a great language to write scripts, tests, websites, and software stacks. I still love hacking together tools and experiments in Ruby, and that's why I'm so excited to announce Mux Ruby.

Mux Ruby is a lightweight wrapper around Mux’s APIs, which make it easy to integrate Mux-powered video experiences into your Ruby apps.

Let’s take a look at a simple example that creates a new Asset using Mux Ruby.

Mux Ruby is, of course, generated from the OpenAPI definitions of our APIs. We wrote about how we’re building our code-generated SDKs and some of the challenges we experienced on the blog a couple of weeks ago. Check it out!

We’ll be releasing even more SDKs over the coming months, but if you have a burning desire for an SDK in a particular language, please get in touch so we work on what’s most important to you.

We’re really excited to see what you build using Mux Ruby - show us your cool projects via Twitter at @MuxHQ.
