Dimension Value

Published At: March 5, 2024

Dimension Values are the different results that a dimension might be. For example dimension values for Country would be “Japan”, “Spain”, “South Africa”. A dimension might have only a few potential values (“true” or “false” for Autoplay) or might have thousands of different values (Video ID and Video Title). The number of potential values is often referred to as the cardinality of the data or dimension. The larger the cardinality, the more difficult it can be to scale and aggregate the data.

In Mux Data you can filter or breakdown the data by a dimension.
